The Andalucian city is less crowded than many of its more touristy neighbours, yet there is much for the discerning visitor to see and do. La Alcazaba (a Moorish Fortress), a series of historic air-raid tunnels/shelters and the area’s lovely beaches are well worth visiting, Park Cabo de Gata is just outside the centre, as is the protected Tabernas Desert and the Sierra Nevada mountain range. You’ll also find Almeria to be an especially sunny city, with very little rain, perfect for a year-round getaway. These are our favourite places to stay when in town.
AC Hotel Almeria by Marriott

Additional facilities include an indoor bar, a lounge serving small plates, a fitness centre, business and meeting rooms, onsite parking and air conditioning. Bedrooms are styled to be comfortable, yet minimal and free from clutter. AC Hotel Almeria is found on the Plaza de las Flores.
