One of London’s most anticipated luxury hotel openings has taken another significant step forward, with Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch officially opening reservations ahead of its long-awaited debut later this year. Occupying one of the capital’s most recognisable landmarks, the hotel will become the first Waldorf Astoria property in London and the first time in Admiralty Arch’s over 100-year history that guests will be able to stay overnight within the Grade I-listed building. Reservations are now available for stays from 1 March 2027, with additional dates expected to be released as the hotel’s autumn opening approaches.
Standing proudly at the entrance to The Mall, opposite Buckingham Palace, Admiralty Arch has long been one of London’s defining architectural landmarks. Commissioned by King Edward VII as a memorial to Queen Victoria and designed by Sir Aston Webb, the Grade I-listed building was completed in 1912. Throughout its history, it has served as a government office and incorporated the official residence of the First Sea Lord before undergoing its transformation into a luxury hotel.

Following an extensive restoration, the historic monument has been transformed into a luxury destination that aims to preserve its architectural significance while introducing a contemporary hospitality experience. The hotel will comprise 114 guestrooms, suites and residences. Designed to complement the grandeur of the Grade I-listed landmark, the interiors combine period architectural features with contemporary luxury, while the hotel’s expansive signature suites and residences occupy more than half of the available accommodation.

Dining is expected to become one of the property’s defining attractions, with two internationally renowned chefs leading the hotel’s culinary offering. Michelin-starred chef Clare Smyth will debut Coreus, a fine dining restaurant celebrating British seafood and seasonal produce, alongside Whiskey & Seaweed, an intimate bar showcasing a handcrafted whiskey collection. Meanwhile, acclaimed French chef Daniel Boulud will make his return to London with Café Boulud, an all-day dining restaurant showcasing his signature culinary style. Its south-facing terrace promises one of the capital’s most enviable dining settings, overlooking The Mall with uninterrupted views towards Buckingham Palace.

Beyond its accommodation and restaurants, Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch will feature a grand ballroom and a collection of event spaces, alongside a private spa, wellness facilities and a state-of-the-art fitness centre. Its location places guests at the very heart of St James’s, within walking distance of many of London’s best-known attractions, including Buckingham Palace, the National Gallery, Mayfair and the West End. Few hotels can claim such a prestigious address, occupying a landmark that has formed part of London’s ceremonial route to Buckingham Palace for more than a century.

With its combination of historic significance, world-class dining and elegant accommodation, Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch is set to become one of the capital’s defining luxury hotel openings. After more than a century as a national landmark closed to overnight guests, Admiralty Arch is preparing to begin an entirely new chapter, this time welcoming travellers from around the world through its iconic arches.
