The Dalmore has unveiled the second instalment of its Cask Curation Series with this new release known as the Port Edition. A trio of single malt Scotch whiskies, each finished in rare Graham’s Port casks. The collection is limited to 150 sets worldwide.
The Dalmore’s whisky makers have partnered with Symington Family Estates, renowned for producing Graham’s Port, to access these exclusive casks. The Port Edition is presented in a bespoke leather-finished travel case handcrafted in Florence, Italy, featuring a distinctive green hue that reflects Portugal’s winemaking heritage. Each bottle is adorned with The Dalmore’s iconic stag emblem.
The collection comprises three age-statement whiskies:
- 27 Years Old: Finished in Graham’s 1997 Single Harvest Tawny Port casks.
- 30 Years Old: Finished in Graham’s 1994 Single Harvest Tawny Port casks.
- 43 Years Old: Finished in Graham’s exceptionally rare 1952 Single Harvest Tawny Port casks.
Each expression is non-chill filtered and retains its natural colour, showcasing The Dalmore’s commitment to traditional whisky-making techniques. The influence of the Graham’s Port casks imparts rich fruit and dark chocolate notes, enhancing the complexity of these aged whiskies.
The Dalmore Cask Curation Series Port Edition became available worldwide on 1st October 2024. In the United States, only 26 sets are available, each priced at $44,450.
