Today: Wizz Air launches ‘All You Can Fly’ membership
Wizz Air, one of Europe’s largest ultra-low-cost airlines, has announced the launch of its “All You Can Fly” membership, providing an unlimited number of flights for a set price across its network of more than 200 destinations.
The Wizz Air “All You Can Fly” membership is the first of its kind airline scheme in the world. The yearly membership of €599 provides passengers access to Wizz Air’s entire flight network. The program aims to give passengers the opportunity to travel as often as they want, helping them save money on usual ticket prices. Given the ever-increasing cost of flights, just a few flights could be all it takes to recoup the €599 fee.
Wizz Air passengers will be able to use the membership to fly as much as they possibly can. They can travel from almost 200 cities in over 50 countries on 800 Wizz Air routes. From sun and sea in the Mediterranean to mountain adventures in the Austrian Alps, as well as sightseeing in the world-famous cities of Paris and London, the “All You Can Fly” membership will connect travelers to some of the best city breaks and off-the-beaten-track locations across Europe and beyond (as far as Dubai and the Maldives). So, whether you are craving pizza from Italy or want to spend a weekend by one of Europe’s pristine lakes, the travel opportunities are endless and include some of the best cultural and culinary destinations in the world.
Wizz Air’s Commercial Officer, Silvia Mosquera said: “We are thrilled to be the first to introduce this one-of-a-kind membership for travellers in Europe. The All You Can Fly membership will give customers hundreds of spontaneous travel options for a fixed price, giving them the freedom to fly whenever is convenient without paying extra. From the adventurous travelers to the digital nomads, this membership will make travel easier for frequent flyers and connect people with new people and places.”
There’s a catch though since the membership comes with several significant restrictions:
- Passengers will only be able to choose from available destinations 72 hours before the date and time of departure (which comes down to standby flights, essentially).
- Additional ancillary items like baggage and seat selection are not included in the membership fee, but, as usual, can be added to the booking separately.
- Except for the first flight (which is free), members must still pay a fee of about €10 per flight.
- Seats are subject to availability and the “All You Can Fly” membership fares are not guaranteed to be available for every flight advertised by Wizz Air.
- The scheme starts from September 25, 2024, but availability is limited, with just 10,000 memberships up for grabs.
