Since its opening in 2020, the Bird’s Nest has captured the hearts of guests, tourists, and locals alike. These three unique tables perched on a craggy cliff near the resort’s peak offer unparalleled views of the Andaman Sea and the distant, uninhabited islands of a national marine park. Bookings for a table here are in high demand and often made weeks or months in advance. In recognition of its unique charm, Banyan Tree Krabi was recently named the No. 4 Resort in Thailand at this year’s Conde Nast Traveler Readers Choice Awards.

“The Bird’s Nests are unique and unlike anywhere else in Krabi,” said Executive Chef Khachathat Tairattaphon, affectionately known as Chef Tum. “These tables offer diners a wonderful atmosphere that is quite nostalgic, especially during the last rays of the sun. It’s an ideal spot to enjoy a sunset cocktail, followed by some unique meals that have been created specifically for this occasion.”
By Land, By Sea: The New Menus at the Bird’s Nest
Starting October 15, 2023, the Bird’s Nest introduces four new set menus, each a celebration of local produce and culinary traditions, meticulously crafted by Chef Tum.
1. Tantalising Turf: This four-course menu is a journey through the flavours of the land. It features appetisers like Spicy Lemongrass Salad with Tiger Prawn Mousse or Banana Flower Steamed Bun with Grilled Chicken & Fried Local Vegetables. The second course is a spicy Thai soup with sea bass, and the main course is a mouthwatering Sous Vide Lamb with A-Jad Pineapple. Finish with a delightful dessert and sorbet.
2. Symphony of the Sea: The “By Sea” menu highlights the ocean’s bounty, featuring dishes like Baked Lobster with Panang Curry Fruit Sauce, an aromatic yet delicately light entrée.
3. Garden Delights: The vegetarian menu, “Garden Delights,” begins with Dumplings Stuffed with Grains and Mango Passion Fruit Sauce. The main course, Grilled Soybean Tofu with Sweet Peas and Green Curry Sauce, reflects the Banyan Tree Group’s commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness.
4. A Touch of Opulence: This menu offers a choice of appetiser and a spicy soup, followed by a main course featuring Chef Tum’s rendition of the beloved coconut milk-based curry khao soi, paired with Lap Pu Croquettes with Plant-Based Sausages.
