The latest addition to Ormonde Jayne’s fragrance collection, La Route de la Soie Babylonia, has landed. Taking its inspiration from The Silk Road Eurasian trade routes, it evokes the epic and ancient voyages that were made across Asia. The Eau de Parfum’s aroma reflects an incredible range of flora and spices found in these regions, from bluebells to vanilla.
About Ormonde Jayne
Ormonde Jayne has been creating gender-free perfumes for over 20 years, hand poured from its private studio in the UK. Created and founded by Linda Jayne, the olfactory brand combines the elegant elements of English craftsmanship, the art of French perfumery and the natural harmony of the Orient, to transport the wearer back to the Golden Age of fragrance. Linda brought her wealth of experience gathered while working in South America, Africa and the Far East, along with her research into exotic oils and essences to her perfume brand, which made its debut just over two decades ago.
Babylonia’s head, heart and soul notes
Babylonia Eau de Parfum opens with a quartet of luscious gourmand notes – blackcurrant- the ultimate in soft powdery perfume with floral facets of soft iris and violets pink pepper, davana and bergamot, followed by the enveloping sensuality of soft musk, sweet resins, vanilla and praline. Perfumer Linda Pilkington says of the new release: “Babylonia Eau de Parfum sings in perfect harmony and could not fail to achieve a sense of romance – positively enchanting.”
Hand poured and made in London
Each bottle of Babylonia is hand poured in Ormonde Jayne’s London laboratory, with every new batch carefully inspected before being distributed to its worldwide customer base. Free from phthalates, the liquid is not tested on animals and contains no added colour. The bottle design takes on a classic shape, with a rich amber bottom fading into a more neutral soft mandarin hue to the top.
