Rooms and Suites
The hotel’s 140 guest-quarters are categorised into bedrooms, suites and suites in the Auld House.
The Auld House
The Auld House is the hotel’s main hotel building which dates back to the 17th century. It has 14 exquisite accommodations, from lavish duplex apartments to romantic one-bedroom suites, with furnishings and designs influenced by Glasgow-based Timorous Beasties. Guests residing in The Auld House receive enhanced amenities including in-suite check-ins and chauffeur transfers. The resort’s most exclusive rooms, The Cameron and The Tower Suites, are light and airy spaces that take inspiration from the hotel’s magnificent natural setting. They have impressive views of the hotel’s stunning surroundings and private living areas perfect for entertaining.
Some of our favourite suites in the Auld House are:
The Cameron Suite
Experience the height of luxury in the Cameron Suite, the hotel’s exclusive penthouse suite (and where Barack Obama stayed when he visited Scotland) You’ll be treated to the most indulgent experience in Loch Lomond, with a uniquely elevated two-story layout that features a grand living area and a master bedroom with a king-size bed. You’ll also have your own private living area upstairs, complete with natural light and plenty of space for entertaining. Step outside to one of two rooftop terraces to take in the stunning views of Loch Lomond. The suite also presents a lavish marble bathroom, complete with a stand-alone bath, shower, and double vanity.
The Tower Suite
The Tower Suite suite features a living area, bedroom, spiral staircase to a separate lounge and rooftop viewing area as well as a large marble ensuite bathroom with double sinks, standalone bath, and shower.
Rooms
Bedrooms offer a warm welcome and are sumptuous retreats which are stylish yet comfortable, each space has been designed with everyday luxury living in mind, curated using the finest Scottish fabrics, furnishings and artworks. The majority offer magnificent views across Loch Lomond or the beautiful hotel grounds.
Suites
The hotel’s Signature Suites offer stunning views combined with ample space and beautiful Scottish décor. Separate living and sleeping areas offer a comfortable base from which to enjoy days filled with adventure. Cinema

At The Kiosk, you’ll discover all your favourite cinema snacks, from popcorn and pick and mix, as well as a selection of hot and cold beverages.
Outdoor Sports and Activities
There are few hotels boasting a private seaplane. But this light aircraft taking off and landing on the adjacent Loch Lomond is a frequent sight for those staying at Cameron House and a trip over the stunning strip of Scotland’s West Coast provides a memorable highlight of any stay.
Having this famous and scenic stretch of water on the doorstep and its own marina means the hotel can offer many active opportunities for guests; the calm (and in summer, relatively warm) waters are ideal for a first time trying paddle boarding, or those seeking an adrenaline rush will relish a ride on a jet ski.
Or remain on land and experience some off-road terrain with a 4×4 trip, go horse riding, hire bikes and explore the 400-acre estate or have some fun on a Segway.
During our stay we experienced some of the hotel’s adventure activities.
4×4
Experience the thrill of driving a Land Rover Defender or Discovery off-road on a tour of the stunning landscape around Loch Lomond. You’ll receive expert coaching as you tackle challenging terrain and climb ever-higher into the hills, discovering breath-taking views across the Loch and its islands.
Loch Based Activities
The hotel offers a number of Loch based water sports; explore Loch Lomond on one of the hotel’s guided Jet Ski tours where you’ll see some amazing scenery while enjoying an adrenaline-pumping experience. Or why not take things at a slower pace with their Kayak tours, where the hotel’s friendly and experienced instructors will teach you basic water safety and kayaking techniques for their sit-on kayaks. Or finally, test your core strength and improve your balance and coordination paddle boarding.
Sea Plane
Take to the skies and depart from the pontoon for your Loch Lomond Seaplane adventure. The captain will give you a thorough briefing before you take off on the water for the thrilling experience. The seaplane covers about 70 miles for Discovery flights and around 110 miles for Explorer flights. You’ll get to soar over stunning Scottish scenery, including lochs, glens, and rugged mountain peaks, before returning to your departure point.
Celtic Warrier
If you’re staying in either the Cameron or Tower Suites, you can enjoy a complimentary private Champagne cruise around Loch Lomond on the Celtic Warrier.
Golf
The hotel offers two courses aimed at different levels of golfing skills. The 18-hole Carrick course winds through an area of outstanding natural beauty, while The Wee Demon 9-hole course is great for beginners or experienced players looking for a shorter game goes which weaves through the estate grounds to The Boat House and Marina on the loch.
Final Thoughts
If you are looking for a complete get-away from it all luxury experience with some of the best dining and hotel experiences on offer in Scotland, then Cameron House is the place to visit. Conveniently close to Glasgow with arguably the best views in Scotland looking out over Loch Lomond this 400-acre estate has it all, so why not check-in for one night, or make it a whole weekend, we can guarantee you you won’t be disappointed.
