Pioneering electric technologies meets engineering excellence as Croatia’s electric supercar maker Rimac Automobili merges with the French carmaker, Bugatti Automobiles, in a deal estimated to be worth millions of euros.
Rimac Group will take a 55% share of the newly merged company which will be called Bugatti Rimac LLC, however, Bugatti and Rimac will maintain their separate brand identities. Production facilities and distribution channels will also be independently operated in their respective home territories with the plan being to open Bugatti Rimac’s global headquarters at the Rimac Campus in Sveta Nedelja, Croatia, which is expected to open in 2023.
The company states that, “Rimac Group will continue to innovate, creating both its own hyper cars, as well as developing systems and technologies for many global OEMs. Such innovative technology can also be deployed in future Bugatti and Rimac models.”
The combination of these two contrasting automotive powerhouses is hugely exciting and we anticipate the result will be the creation of some exceptional projects.
